The Ainsdale Civic Society is holding its 8th AnnualOpen Gardens Week-End on the 14th & 15th July. This popular event has grown each year and this time there will be 12 gardensopen to view.
Local residentsopen their gardens to allow you all to enjoy a variety of different styles ofgardens. The gardens are diverse and vary from a woodland garden, to a Japanesestyle garden to cottage gardens with chickens and lovebirds
These arenot the large gardens that you might expect; rather they are extraordinarygardens in ordinary homes. However, the love and attention which has beenpoured into these gardens, is obvious to the visitor.
The tickets, which are very reasonably priced at £4 peradult, cover admission to all the gardens over the two days. Accompaniedchildren under the age of 12 go free. All ticket proceeds go to the societyfunds to help care for the Village and many charities also benefit from theweek-end.
