A number of local drivers are counting the cost of expensive damage to their wheels and tyres near the new Highgrove park development in Ormskirk.
They've hit a damaged kerb stone near the new Taylor Wimpey development on High Lane; our thanks to John Peden who contacted the busy QLocal newsdesk on Tuesday with these pictures of his damaged wheel and tyre off his Mitsubishi Outlander.
John pulled up in the nearby layby to examine the damage to be joined by two other drivers minutes later - the matter's been reported to LCC Highways, Taylor Wimpey and the Police.
Said John: "A lady who pulled up behind me said she was facing a bill of around £2000 to repair her wheels and tyres."

Have these drivers not heard of driving with due care and attention?
£2,000 of damage seriously, what speed was she driving at!
The drivers have hit a damaged kerb, I suggest they go to spec-savers and drive according to road conditions.

Maybe the story has the wrong image attached to it as anyone driving into that needs to be more careful.
