Double yellow lines have been painted along both sides of Hoghton Street this morning meaning dozens of pay and display spaces have been lost.
Both sides of Hoghton Street are being turned into cycle lanes by the Council.

Madness, absolute Madness. I'd love to pick a few random days with random weather and see how many cyclists actually use it. Be minuscule.

I have recently observed cyclists out in very inclement weather.
Some people do not have the option of journeying by car.

Sits back and waits for the same people who say they never park in town because pay and display is too expensive (at 80p) to complain about removal of parking spaces they supposedly never use...

How much revenue will the Council lose as as a result of hundreds of parking spaces lost with the cycle lanes and the pop up wooden seating areas around the town?

I doubt very much it's hundreds and as for the pop up seating areas, would you rather the businesses closed?

How are people supposed to use them if there is nowhere to park?

Park in any number of other spaces, get the bus, taxi, cycle? There's plenty of other options out there!
Also, as most of these pop up seating areas are outside pubs and bars, perhaps limiting the parking options isn't such a bad idea!

Join Everlast gym in Tulketh Street for £5 a month. You get 3 hours free parking as a member and if you want to, use the gym as well.
I’m told the club has 10,000 members of which only 2,000 are active, thus a good guess is the others use it to park their cars when it town as its £2.90 for 3 hours, so two trips a week or two the same day covers the cost easily.

As far as I am aware every one of these temporary seating areas is near to a car park that is cheaper than on street pay and display anyway.
And believe it or not there are other ways of getting into town that don't involve driving your own car and parking right outside your chosen venue.

Another Pnp who thinks everyone is the same as them ability wise. Also you obviously think Sefton can just ride roughshod over the Town at a whim, does CONSULTATION not appear in your dictionary?
Here's hoping they allow a traveller camp next door to you.

Not everyone is as fully mobile as they would wish, currently public transport is not the preferred method of transport for a lot of people, simple answer, stay out of town, take your business elsewhere, is that the aim?
