On a visit to a local Police Station Damien Moore MP commented...
"We’re recruiting 20,000 additional police officers, and I want to ensure Southport receives its fair share.
I met with our policing teams at Southport police station to see what this will mean to them, and our community.

20,000 to replace the 20,000 that where lost as a direct result from Tory spending cuts. Geniuses.

Not really, the 20,000 will replace the natural wastage of those retiring, so will only keep numbers steady, NOT replacing those that were lost!

Well maybe if the Police hadn’t had their budgets cut by the tories, they would have been able to replace those who retired as positions became vacant instead of having to waste £750 million of tax payers money on the current recruitment drive.
