Police can confirm that the body found in the Ribble Estuary on Friday 18th January is that of missing student Adam Seaton.
Adam, 20, went missing from his home address in Marshside, near Southport, on Thursday 9th August last year.
There is nothing to suggest there is anything suspicious surrounding his death.
The matter has now been referred to the coroner.
Adam’s family have been informed and have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
