Scarisbrick New Road?
I recently bought this postcard.
I think it was a building that used to stand on Scarisbrick New Road until it suffered a fire (arson?).
I remember sitting an exam there during the 1980s, when it was part of Southport College of Art and Technology.
Does anyone else remember it?

Yes, that's the old Southport High School for girls. Just up from the Ash Street junction. My sister attended there until 1958/59. What happened to it after that, I'm not sure,
Just be yourself, no one else is better qualified!!

I went to Meols Cop annexe 1961 - 1962, then transferred to the main Meols Cop on Meols Cop Rd until 1966

Correct it was the girls Annexe, boys Annexe was the town side of the Ash St lights. All second year boys went there, although year 3 & 4 also had glasses, Mr. Fairhurst was Head of the Annexe when I was there as a second year about 71/72. Happy days!

Arthur Fairhurst was given the OBE for his work with children who had learning disabilities at Meols Cop.
He died about 10 years ago, great man.

Sefton Street (heading towards Arbour St).
After it was Meols Cop annexe it was used as an annexe by Southport College until it was badly damaged by fire. Flats there now.
