Old signage on buildings in Southport

There are still signs and adverts on buildings in Southport.
They often detail what was for sale or the name of the premises.

    Mistakes

The interface for adding pictures isn't very user-friendly or intuitive. Or maybe a bad workman always blames his tools.
Anyway. Here are a few more examples of old signage.

The first two bring back a lot of memories for me.

It used to say 'Bread of health' between the bottom of the T and G

If you look on the Stone work of the fishing tackle shop on Virginia st you can see it was a Steam? Bakery.

I notice in Ashley Road there is a big sign for a long gone chemist business on the side of one of the buildings.

Thanks for all your input and help so far.
Here's an old sign for a shoe shop (?) that is down the side of Starbucks Coffee Shop.

I remember when Sheenagh's hair and nails was the grocers on the corner of Tithebarn and Sussex Road, run by Hedley and Betty. Lovley couple. His best routine was to throw me in the freezer when I went in with my Nan (this was pre Playstation so it was entertaining). These were the days when you could be manhandled by the local grocer and not involve the authorities. Also meant you could lose half a day gossiping about other customers, not just leave with a debit card receipt wondering what you just spent 30 quid on.

    Cambridge Road

Former Doctors' Surgery on Cambridge Road.
On closer inspection you can make out T.Seymour Mead on the side of the building in the tile work.
T.Seymour Mead had shops in Churchtown, High Park, Birkdale, Ainsdale and Waterloo.

Ashley Road - Thank you Xroads

Here is the sign for a Chemist in Ashley Road. It looks like there are 2 signs. One underneath another one. I can make out Health Service, Prescriptions and Dispensing but the fonts don't match.
