I am researching an item of clothing for The Atkinson. It is an adult size red cape with a brown tartan lining and a lined hood. The design is timeless and I cannot pin it down to a particular period from design alone. It could be a nurse's cape or some other orgaisation or just a fashionable item.
It has a label saying J. Holey, Lord Street, Southport. I am assuming this is either the retailer or the maker. (as a side note it is a funny name for a clothier) and not the owner as I have to start somewhere.
Does anyone remember a clothes shop or similar with that name on Lord Street?
I will be hitting the street guides and directories but it would help if I could pin it down to a decade, or even a century, and a rough position of where along Lord Street. Otherwise it will be a long slog through all the books.

Found this with a google search. Apparently the shop is now Debenhams. Lord St has been re numbered since then
