    Blowick Aerial Photos

Have a look at the Aerial photos held in the history section on the Visiter website - Awesome shots of Blowick.

    http://www.southportvisiter.co.uk/news/history/

I guestimate that the shot showing Haig Ave not yet built must have been between 1974-75 as one side of Bowling Green close appears to have been built. Anybody got any further guess on the time frame?

The tall water sealed gasholder was built in the 1960s so it was later than that

I'm a little confused (it's probably an age thing). When you say "Haig Ave, not yet built" you cannot mean the football ground as that was certainly there when I attended KGV in the 40s/50s. Have I misunderstood something?

He means the newer stretch of Haig Ave/Dodworth Ave that was built on the former railway lines.
