Contractors moved on site today to begin construction of a new Marstons Pub next to Tesco and McDonalds at Kew.
The proposed gross external area of the development is 717 sq.m, which will be split
over two floors, with the public area and back of house facilities at ground floor level, and a three bedroom manager’s apartment at the first floor, along with facilities for staff. The proposal includes 70 car parking spaces for customers and staff (3 of which will be disabled), and 5 Sheffield hoop type cycle stands suitable for 5 cycles.
The site extends to 0.42 hectares (1.03 acres). It is a vacant, undeveloped site which lies adjacent to an existing Tesco supermarket, McDonald’s fast food restaurant and retail units located at Kew Retail Park.
The site is broadly triangular in shape. The site fronts onto the A570 Scarisbrick New Road. Main access to the site is via an existing road which provides access to the adjacent Tesco Supermarket and McDonald’s Restaurant. The application site forms part of the wider retail offer at Meols Cop and Kew Retail Parks. The retail uses in the vicinity add to the overall character of the area which is predominately commercial in feel.

Wow, you now accept Sefton knows best.
Reading your input , plaza, meols cop, central 12. appear to be
successful. 10 years from now may well be a different story, stop
complaining accept it as it is . I personally don't like it in its present format. Then I think the NHS should be rethought and all should pay a fee per visit.

What's wrong with building a Pub, I tell you what lets not do or invest in anything eh! just keep it the same why not.
Whichever way it goes it provides jobs for people building it, working in it and running it and if it works Good Luck.
