Dear all,
Having had numerous forms of contact in the last 24 hours, it has become apparent to me that there are a number of untruths being told / shared / used as excuses.
It is therefore relevant for me to set a number of things publicly straight, as I have nothing to hide.
In the last 24 hours I have been told (not by anybody on the board or at the club) the following things:
1. My offer was not considered because I am a football agent.
2. My offer was not considered because of the regulations around feeder clubs
3. My offer was not considered because Charlie Clapham believed the club was relegated because of the players, and that those players were brought in by Myself and Liam Watson.
4. That my offer has been responded to.
I will clarify each point in turn:
1. I am a football agent , however, I do not charge a single penny to players or clubs and never have, I set up my agency because having been in and around football for years, I felt there was considerable talent in non league football which was being overlooked for league football due to a lack of opportunity. My plans were to have a small stable of players and nurture them to the level they were capable of, for no fees. For the record , I represent :
Liam Nolan
James Montgomery
Josh Langley
Josh Hine
Darius Osei
Tony Donaldson
All of those players have moved onto a higher level, league football or full time football under my guidance, I have never received a single penny.
If it ere considered a conflict, I would relinquish my Intermediary status to another member of the PURE Sports Talent team, however, I have not had a response and therefore unable to put this forward.
2. My comment regarding 'feeder club' was simply poor wording, I have spoken at length to a Championship Club, who agreed (in principle) if I were majority shareholder , to provide Southport with first refusal on their U23 squad for the purpose of season long loans, nothing else, we will NEVER be a feeder club under my stewardship.
3. The only player I represented at Southport FC was Liam Nolan , I have never represented another player at the club this season, and having spoken to Liam Watson today, he has confirmed that all player signings throughout the season were decided by the Manager in Charge at the time, it was impossible for me to have any involvement in that process and it was not part of Liam's job remit, this rumour is simply false and untrue.
4. My offer to date has had no response from Southport Football Club, in writing , verbally or electronically.
I can further add that on Wednesday evening I met with the board of Trust in Yellow for several hours.
In that meeting I presented to them in detail, with substantive facts and evidence in support, my 5 Year blueprint for Southport Football Club, I also left them with written copies, and permission to share that blueprint with all members of the trust publicly, which I have no doubt they will in due course.
It is pertinent to note that I spent many , many hours putting together this blueprint, engaged with many individuals (including players) relevant to that plan, and companies , and put significant thought and effort into it.
I confirmed , how, why and when , and provided substance to my financial plans and the ability to execute them.
I will leave the Trust to share that detail at the appropriate time, however , I will confirm the following :
1. My wish to have a board consisting of Myself as CEO , Nigel Allen as Chairman , Liam Watson as Director of Football , and 2 serving board members from the Trust.
2. My plan to ensure the club was financially self sufficient within 3 years to guarantee there was no requirement to rely on myself or any other individual financially to sustain it into the future.
3. To provide a club at one with the town and the supporters, and bring back the fun, teamwork and togetherness required to make this club great again.
4. To provide a team capable of competing at its current level and above, and a brand of football worth watching week in week out.
There is no ego here, just a desire to bring a once great club , back to life and be the envy of its neighbours and the rest of the non league.
Whatever happens after that is stuff of fairytales, but hey , why can't we dream together?
There will be some who say going public is unprofessional, but I want you all to know that under my stewardship there would be openness and communication, along with togetherness and mutual respect.
I also want to ensure that the rumours (and they are rumours) mentioned above are put to bed as the inaccurate untruths of negative spin.
My only concern and goal is to realise the clear potential this club and town has, and I will do it positively and with a smile at all times, along with my team, if I ever get the chance.
Have a great weekend, I would have been spending it signing players and executing plans, alas , it appears not to be.
Keep believing , I am going nowhere.
Keep it real and UP THE PORT
Phil Hodgkinson

Simple question; are you looking to take a majority share holding in the club? Or be a sponsor and have your names on the shirts? If the former then you need to agree [ in private ] with the current majority shareholder(s) an agreeable price to buy their stake and so live your dream or shut up. If the latter, you need to negotiate the price to get your company name on SPT shirts.

He wants to be majority shareholder or part of a group forming the majority.
There seems to be some secrecy over exactly who the current majority shareholders are.

He hasn't even been given the chance to get to the point of discussing his offer.
He's been completely ignored so that Clapham could come to a cosy arragement with Treadwell and Shandley, hence the hasty dismissal on spurious grounds of Nigel Allan hours before a board meeting where his offer was supposed to be discussed.
It stinks and the truth will out.

If you are selling your assets; you get to decide who you sell them to and on what terms surely?

Of course. But having publicly stated that all offers of investment would be considered why would you ignore an offer and not even acknowledge it? Especially when you're on record as stating you won't sell the club short.

So you think it's all down to the price?
How do you reconcile that with the fact that the majority shareholders gave their shares to the new owners free of charge?
