The world's oldest golf championship tees off at Royal Birkdale Golf Club this summer and, in preparation for the event, Southport College are holding an Open Recruitment Day on Monday 24th April.



Royal Birkdale Golf Club is to host the 146th The Open which will make its tenth visit to the seaside resort from 16th - 24th July.

Organised in partnership with Job Centre Plus, the Open Recruitment Day at Southport College will give staff, students and members of the general public an opportunity to apply for vacancies at the Open and ultimately become a part of the renowned sporting tournament.

Vacancies include Bar & Waiting on Staff, Catering Assistants, Traffic Controllers, Ticket Checkers, Cashiers and Cleaners.
