Here's all you need to know about the new and improved Ride of the Roses which is taking place next month in aid of the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

There is a choice of three circular routes of 50, 80 or 100 miles all on road starting in Banks, Southport.

The three routes will each take you along stunning Lancashire country lanes. The 80 mile and 100 mile routes will include some cycling through and around the Trough of Bowland, an area of outstanding beauty! All three routes are designed to be challenging but the 50 mile route has fewer challenging hills but is equally as scenic. We strongly advise only experienced cyclists take on the epic 100 mile route which has over 6,000 ft of climbing.

The routes are signposted, and maps will be available on the day. Routes can be viewed below from June and can be downloaded to Garmin Computers.

We've made a few amends to this year's Ride of the Roses and we'll be uploading them very soon!

What's new in 2017!

We have a new approach to the first water stop at the Nab's Head Pub for all three routes.

The 100 mile route will test your legs and stamina with over 6,000ft of climbing.
The 100 mile routes now include the beautiful ski slope-esque climb through the pine forest towards Cow Ark and Jeffrey Hill, the 80 mile route also includes Jeffrey Hill, and the 80 and 100 mile routes no longer pass through the outskirts of Preston centre.
