A number of handbag snatches in the town centre have been reported over the last two days. Three in the Derby Road/London Street area and one Wed 13th on Stanley Street. Be aware of your surroundings and keep bags across your body to reduce risk.

Police still have a number of the 'tinkly bells' available at the Enquiries Office at Southport Police station. Clip these on to your purse or bag to alert you to anyone tampering with your property while you are out shopping. Only available while stocks last.
