At Wednesdays area committee meeting during the police forum Inspector Graham Fisher said that as a result of anti social behaviour KFC may install deterrent speakers.
The speakers are said to ‘scream’ at such a high frequency it is only audible to people under the age of 25.
Gangs of youths have been gathering outside KFC and intimidating passers by.
Inspector Fisher also confirmed that one of the ringleaders of the groups causing ASB was a 13 year old girl.Several teens have been charged with causing over £5000 of criminal damage with more charges to follow.

In today's world I would imagine dealing with a difficult 13year old girl is not the easiest, in days gone by girl would have been grabbed by the scruff of her neck, carted off for a chat with her parents, try that today and your police officer would find him/herself charged with assault, probably with sexual allegations, wrongful arrest, detention of a minor and also very likely whereas the parents would take action to control rebellious daughter, now the parents would be helping the child to file charges.

It's more than 'difficult' though. The police should be referring the matter to the relevant childcare agencies, and the parents warned. Are there not facilities for 'difficult' children? The parents would probably welcome a situation where there was one less mouth to feed, and the girl would have a chance of learning right from wrong, and avoiding prison when she becomes an adult. At the moment, all the child is learning is that you can indulge in this type of behaviour and get away with it, so it becomes the norm.

I hope some scientist didn't get a big grant to come up with this. I'm well over twenty five and I can hear it, I suppose me and me mates won't be able to hang around KFC any more...
