Cllr Barton has offered his appreciations to the property owner and building contractors who are renovating a building on the Promenade in Southport.
Cllr Barton commented...
Many appreciations to the Property Owner and his Contractors for their continuing work to restore this period property here at No. 13 The Promenade, Southport. In seeking to provide additional housing this particular Property Owner should be duly praised for their own merit in utilising our cherished local environment to its fullest capacity whilst also retaining this signature architecture for the benefit of the Local Community.
Having previously had the pleasure of working alongside this same Property Owner, providing due guidance and support, it is a pleasure to now see this part of the Southport Promenade being brought back into use after many years of previous vacancy and the true essence of the "Classic Resort Town" status being encapsulated for all to appreciate.
Onwards & Upwards!

It's been going on for years. And, judging by the way they've padded out the windows, not using the best materials either.

-They've put sash windows in? Not gone full 'Jack & Vera' on the cladding?
