Email received regarding dog in training on Lord Street
Hi my name is Scott Mathieson, I'm the head search trainer at Positive Working Dogs, based in Formby.
The dog handlers you could see working on the 20th of October were in training. We are accredited to deliver training in Pyrotechnic Detection with The National Association of Security Dog Users and as such the dog handlers you saw were part of an external training program and have no involvement with any other external companies.
Positive Working Dogs is a private company that specialise in training working dogs
and handlers. We use built up areas to conduct our training and therefore Lord Street is ideal, however we only require the use of our own “in house” volunteers to be searched during training. At no time, unless permitted to do so, will we stop and search the general public.
We have been training in Southport for a number of months with permission from the council and Police without any issue.
In addition we are not part of Southport Security, or affiliated with anyone performing security patrols on the streets of Southport.

This merely appears to be a reworked version of the original " mission statement " issued by this company. The only difference being that at least some individual has taken the trouble to correct the appalling grammar which infested the previous posting.
" Muppertry " ? You mean " Muppetry " ?

Seconded, with the obvious exception of those who realised what was actually happening and didn't gather up their skirts about themselves.

The difference is, a half decent reporter would have found this out BEFORE posting it on a so called news forum.

Exactly. The original article was clearly written to mislead people.

Please stop commenting on a person's spelling or grammar. Many people are dyslexic and they have a right to comment without others criticising their spelling or grammar. Dyslexia has no bearing on a person's intelligence. My son deals with this sort of prejudice on a daily basis and he is very intelligent and excels in Maths and Physics.

Thanks for the support LOL!
Not dyslexic nor suffering from owt at the moment, however I probably just missed a key, crap on a keyboard always have been. You have a point though as I can't really see the problem but "Old Duffer" has a dig at most things unfortunately.
I often use sarcastic responses to him/her as it's the brains natural response to stupid people!

Surely simply pointing out an error and correcting it isn't necessarily criticism. What's wrong with trying to educate people?
