    Going down. CLAPHAM OUT NOW

  4. Badboy says:19/02/2017 05:33 PM
Clapham won't leave, he'll just let us get relegated and sack another manager who had to work with no budget to bring players in. Just survive with loan players and free transfers.

Driving more and more supporters away in the process, still remember a few years ago when clapham said the club didn't need supporters who critisied!!! Well I bet he wishes he still had us now as the gates have dropped to an appalling level.

Lapham will never leave as the losses incurred by the club minimise the tax he pays on Palace Chemicals. It's just another tax avoidance scheme to him and why anyone goes beats me. Want him out? Empty ground every week might make a difference. While people are daft enough to go to Haig Ave, all you are doing is make him richer! Best thing would be club folds and gets reborn as in Wimbledon or Chester, run by people with a plan. Be back where they are now in a few years with possibly a chairman who wants success!

Hmm, you're going have explain exactly how that one works then.

I don't believe the size of crowd at Haig Avenue has very much bearing on Clapham's thinking. He has shown in the past that any income that had not been budgeted for is not spent on squad improvement whether that be transfer fees or profit from games like Derby County away in the Cup or the home Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday a few years ago, both of which will have made decent money. God knows where the revenue from these fixtures went but it certainly wasn't on signing better players.

We just have to accept what has been glaringly obvious for years now that Clapham is a man who loves the kudos of being a football club Chairman but who lacks the vision and ambition to match. He talks the talk over and over but never walks the walk. Happiness for him is wearing his club blazer and tie and being invited into the opposition boardroom for drinkies and vol-au-vents. He loves all that stuff. Success on the pitch is way down the list of concerns.

What utter crap. You tell us that you don't know where the revenue goes to, and then tell that you know where it doesn't go to.
Unless you are a member of the board of SFC, I imagine that you don't have an insight into the club's finances, and accordingly don't have a clue of the costs involved in running the club at all.
But hey, you've had a go at the Chairman, so you probably feel heaps better now.

Contrary to popular belief, losing money is a particularly rubbish way of minimising tax - viz. spending a £1 to save 40p is pretty pointless.

It's quite easy to obtain copies of Pinewise Ltd's accounts, tony. You should try it some time and get somebody qualified to explain them to you.

As a supporter of SFC for 52 years I reckon I'm entitled to an opinion. It may be crap to a Clapham acolyte like yourself but there are plenty of people who share my views. Anyway, in the final analysis it makes not a jot of difference what I say. The man for whom you have such admiration doesn't give a toss what any fan of the club thinks. He never has and he never will.
