West Lancashire, local officers have dealt with 142 incidents during the last 24 hours which have included 15 violent offences, 5 thefts, 3 criminal damage incidents which relate to a car window smashed on Lambourne, fencing damaged on square lane in Burscough and stones thrown at a passing motorist travelling in their vehicle on Stannanought Road.
There have been burglaries committed on Appley Lane in which a window was left insecure on a residential property and entry gained and the home owners car stolen with keys. and a pedal cycle stolen from inside a garage on Tongbarn.
Officers have also dealt with 21 incidents of anti social behaviour, this includes motorcycle nuisance.
The recent hot weather has been welcome however it does bring opportunists who will try their luck when they see an open window in a car or house so please remain vigilant and not leave windows ajar unless you are present at the location. If you see anything suspicious please call 101.
