Walking the ‘Extra Mile’ for Queenscourt Hospice in 2018

Queenscourt Hospice go the ‘Extra Mile’ for our patients on a daily basis, we are asking our wonderful Queenscourt Trekkers to do the same in this year’s Star Trekk as we have an exciting new route for 2018.

The walk is once again supported by Pleasureland, which will be the start and finish of the event. Trekkers will set off on an 8.5 mile sponsored night walk around Southport raising money for Queenscourt Hospice. Now in its twelfth year, Star Trekk is the flagship event in Queenscourt’s fundraising calendar. This starlit stroll around the streets of Southport really is a fabulous night with a fantastic atmosphere and this year it’s going to be better than ever!

Everyone is welcome men, women and children; some people use the walk as an opportunity to remember their loved ones with the route taking you past Queenscourt Hospice where the lights of love will be shinning out. Other people get involved to simply have a memorable night out and do their bit for charity.

Last year almost 1000 walkers pounded the streets of Southport to support Queenscourt hospice and raised thousands. This money is crucial and allows the team at Queenscourt to continue to provide an outstanding level of care for our patients and their families, as well as ensuring we can deliver a broad range of services completely free of charge to those who need us.

When: Friday 18th May, 2018 (Entry from 6pm, Walk starts at 8:30pm - please allow plenty of time for registration)
Where: Pleasureland Southport
Price: The registration fee is £12 with the early bird offer until 28th February, 2018. The cost will be £15 per person thereafter until midday on Tuesday 15th May, 2018 with late and on the day entries charged at £20 per person.
