No sign of the litter patrols giving them any fines, they could make a killing there or maybe the other way round 🤔🤔

These people are encouraged to come here because the council allows them to.

No fines are imposed for breaking the law, for illegal parking, for disposal of effluent, for dumping of rubbish and for decimating any open space they please.

Perhaps they wouldn't come here if they weren't given "work" by householders.

It would also be interresting to see whether the crime figures go up during their presence too.

Unfortunately we all end up paying to clear up after they leave.

I suppose the soft target of a resident ( a council tax payer perhaps ) dropping a sweet wrapper, or a fag end, being given a hefty fine will help to defer the costs.

Something needs fixing , thats for sure.

Wonder what the state of Ferryside Lane field will be like after they've gone from there.
Much more robust legislation needs to be implemented to deal with these freeloaders!!

The council officers who regularly fail to enforce the law on these people should be held personally liable.
It is their clear dereliction of duty that encourages these groups to come.
If they can't or won't enforce the law they should resign or be sacked.
Leaving council tax payers to pick up the costs or deprive other services to pay for it because they don't do their jobs has been going on for too long.

The authorities are scared to act. They are frightened that they will be sued if they contravene the 'minority group' category that these people have put themselves in. However, that category needs to be defined. A minority group are those who should be free to use their own language, beliefs and culture in freedom, without hindrance. But when their culture interferes with other people's lives - who should have precedence? and if they are practising their own culture, what right have they to cherry pick OUR culture, i.e. our laws that suit them - in addition to their own? and if they have their own culture, with their own laws - should they also respect our laws? This minority group thing appears to be a sad excuse for people being allowed to do just what they want to do, legally or illegally!

At least the scum used bags.....to a degree.

The travellers who parked up at the deaf school were complaining at the start of their occupation that they were picked on and they should be given a chance.

A few days later one toe rag was defecating in full view of local residents and when they were eventually turfed out they left loads of rubbish all over the place.

Their chance was missed and they have no-one to blame but themselves for their low life image.
