Celebrity chef Simon Rimmer is to be star turn at the Southport Flower Show after cooking up a storm in Strictly Come Dancing.

The popular TV presenter will show off his culinary talents in the demonstration kitchen at the UK’s biggest independent flower show.

Simon survived six weeks on the last series of Strictly on BBC1 with his dance partner Karen Clifton, before losing the vote on Halloween week.

Their routines included an emotional waltz to Liverpool FC anthem You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Simon has been a star attraction at Southport for several years and returns on Saturday 18th August for the 2018 show. Simon will do two demonstrations at 12 noon and 2pm.

Simon Rimmer said: “I’m really looking forward to coming back to Southport to demo and always get a really warm welcome there.”

The Food Village at Southport will feature over 60 gourmet producers offering the opportunity to sample and buy organic and artisan produce.

There is also a full working kitchen where celebrity chefs such as Simon and Flo Atkins a former Great British Bake Off contestant with demonstrate their skills and signature dishes.

General Manager Ray Roukin said: “Simon is always a massive hit with our visitors who come from miles to see him demonstrate his culinary talents. Simon is one of the UK’s top chefs and is local, hailing from Liverpool. We’re delighted he can join us.”
