Southport’s U21 team won the first of two cup finals on Sunday night, beating Stockport Town 4-3 AET at Macclesfield Town to lift the North West Development League Premier Division Cup.



Goals from Dan Singleton (2), Fausten Makela and Sam Trayer-Blackhurst secured the title for Southport. 0-0 at half time, the second half burst in to life with the scoreline 3-3 at 90 minutes, before Southport were awarded a penalty to score the winner in extra time.

Southport will also face West Kirby United on 10th May in the final of the League Challenge Cup on 10th May, also at Macclesfield Town.
