The latest exhibition has been unveiled at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre by the Southport Contemporary Arts group: ‘Nature Scapes’.

Nature Scapes is an exhibition of work from across the network that celebrates the beautiful and inspiring natural environment around us; featuring painting, photography and textiles, that all take their starting point from the artists passion for translating the beauty of nature that they see around them, into a piece of artwork, that we hope captures an essence of that beauty.

This exhibition is at the centre until 19 May and visitors can view the work and make purchases during their visit with a percentage of all sales supporting Martin Mere.

If you are interested in learning more about the group visit: www.sca-network.co.uk or pop into the Southport town centre gallery, ArtHouse PR8 1EJ.

WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is open every day (except Christmas Day) from 9.30am to 4.30pm during winter months and parking is free of charge. Situated off the A59, it is signposted from the M61, M58 and M6. The Centre is also accessible via the Southport to Manchester and the Liverpool to Preston line by train from Burscough Rail Stations. Visit the web site http://www.wwt.org.uk/martinmere/ to find out what’s on all year round at Martin Mere and the other eight WWT Wetland Centres.
