The Spring Show focuses on daffodils but has lots of other classes for people to exhibit floral art, plants, bulbs, pot plants, photography, baking and crafts. There are classes for children to enter too.

This year we had 43 exhibitors and 299 exhibits on show in Marble Place.

The South Lancashire Alpine Society also held their mini-show over the weekend, displaying some amazing plants.

Chairman of the Society, Richard Jenkinson was delighted with the number of entries and the high quality of the exhibits. He said "it is always fantastic to see the enthusiasm and skill of our exhibitors. The standard of gardening and cooking and baking exhibits is wonderful to share with the hundreds of people who visit the show over the two days. I want to thank everybody who makes the show such a success, the Committee, members, volunteers, judges, entrants and visitors. Thanks also to everyone who bought bedding plants, a raffle ticket and guessed the name of our Care Bear. All this helps us run the shows. It was a pleasure to present the trophies at the end of a great weekend."

The Spring Show returned in 2022 after the Covid pandemic and has continued to be popular with exhibitors and visitors to Marble Place over the weekend of the show. The Autumn Show in October has also returned and will be held over the weekend of 26 and 27 October 2024. There is no charge to visit the shows and entry fees to stage an exhibit is only 50p.

The friendly Society meets monthly at Emmanuel Church on Cambridge Road in Southport with a talk on different aspects of gardens and gardening. There is a plant sale, raffle and refreshments at each meeting. Two trips a year are arranged to gardens or garden shows. Membership is only £15 a year. Non-members are welcome to each meeting at a cost of £2.
