A celebration of the learning, teaching, dancing and music of the fiddle and string section. With showcases from Lakeland Fiddlers, Palentine Fiddlers, Southport Strings and Brook Hall Fiddlers in the Foyer from 12pm – 3pm.

This year our headlining events include a Ceilidh with Gallimaufry and a finale gig with Welsh folk group Calan!

Throughout the Saturday there are a number of workshops run by experts including Carolyn Francis, Julian Taylor, Sarah Marks and Calan themselves.

Calan breathe fire into the old traditions with their infectious rhythms and high voltage routines before melting into some of the most beautiful and haunting songs

We’re looking forward to welcoming the music community into the venue and learning all about the instruments of the fiddle section, and what they have to offer.
