Merseyside Police has arrested six people and recovered suspected class A drugs, a quantity of cash, replica weapons and a stolen scooter following a pre-planned operation in Sefton today, Thursday 22 February 2018.
Officers executed a total of 16 warrants in the area beginning shortly after 7am at various addresses across Litherland and arrested five people on suspicion of Possession with intent to supply class A drugs. They are:

A further 21-year-old male from Litherland was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug. They have all since been taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning.
The warrants saw officers recover around 450 wraps of suspected cocaine and heroin, a quantity of cannabis, a number of weapons including three replica BB guns and machetes, a scooter which had previously been reported as stolen and a significant amount of cash.
Along with the arrests, a 50-year-old man from Bootle received a caution for possession of cannabis and a 25-year-old man from Bootle received a Fixed Penalty Notice for possession of cannabis.
Superintendent Matt Boyle from Sefton Local Policing team said: "These seizures mean a significant amount of class A drugs and weapons that could be used to cause fear, intimidation or harm have now been removed.
"These weapons would have been extremely dangerous in the wrong hands so we are delighted to have removed them from circulation, as well as a significant amount of drugs destined for the streets.
"We are relentless in our pursuit of those involved in criminal activity and will continue to take action to protect Sefton from those intent on bringing threat to our communities. Merseyside Police won’t tolerate the behaviour of these criminals and the misery they can bring to the lives of local residents.
"If anyone has any information about those involved in drug supply, organised crime or who knows where weapons are being stored, please contact us so that we can make our streets safer."
