Essential sewerage work has started at the junction of Cambridge Road and Preston New Road.Although ample warning was given on the road-signs for motorists nobody told local shopkeepers about the disruption.
Motorists are stuck in long queues back down Manor Road.
Kevin Peet from the fishmongers Peet's Plaice has had no notification from the Council that the works would make his shop invisible from the road.
Large containers have been placed on the pavement outside and diggers are driving past making it dangerous for pedestrians..
Four parking spaces have been lost as well.
Kevin said that his trade is 50% down today.

It's a pity Untied Utilities didn't do a proper job last time they had the area dug up for weeks on end!

Have you any proof they didn't do a proper job?
This could be completely unconnected.
