MakeIt Workshop, a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Southport, are on the lookout for more volunteers.

The MakeIt team run fundraising shops in the town and a workshop where they test and repair items such as renovated telephones and other interesting and quirky items.

They are currently looking for volunteers to join their team.

A spokesman for the workshop said: “We need volunteers to help in our very busy shop in the heart of Southport.

“The shop is open from 12pm – 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and we need you to serve on the till, greet customers, receive donations and help to keep the store neat and tidy.

“No qualifications or previous experience necessary as training will be given.

“With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous to you, your family, and your community. The right match can help you to reduce stress, find friends, reach out to the community, learn new skills, and even advance your career.

“We really look forward to hearing from you.”
