Lancashire Constabulary have tweeted that their 'safety enforcement vans' will be out at various locations this weekend.

The new safety enforcement vans will be in Blackpool, Lytham, Preston, South Ribble, West Lancs, Lancaster, Burnley, the Ribble Valley and Colne over the next few days. #keepingyousafe #towardszerolancs

Why can’t the Police and LCC be honest and call these vans what they really are, they are stealth tax vans, usually positioned in places that have inappropriate speed limits.

Keeping us safe? Do they stop the speeders? No they catch them & fine them. It's not about safety, it's about making money.

Oh so it's nothing to do with catching imbeciles who think the roads are their personal space to do as they like. The Limits are shown to motorists on a white disc with a red edging if they can't stick to them then tough get your wallet out.

So the police inform us that they'll be out this weekend and it's called a stealth tax, more like a stupidity tax if you speed after being informed of the activity taking place.
