Merseyside Police can confirm that officers have attended Crosby Marina this afternoon (Tuesday, 31 May 2016) following reports two children had been rescued from the water.



Shortly before 2.30pm, officers were called to Crosby Marina, close to Crosby Road North, by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service reporting that a boy and girl had been pulled from the water.

Emergency Services attended at the scene and the children were taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for treatment. They are described as conscious and stable but will be kept in overnight for observations.

Police officers are speaking to witnesses at the marina to establish how the children came to be in the lake.
