Non-League Day returns on the club’s first home game for a month when York City visit on Saturday 13 October 2018, and Southport Football Club are pleased to announce that the fixture will be dedicated to the work of Kick It Out.

Scheduled to coincide with the upcoming international break, Non-League Day has been an annual event for nine years, backed by Premier League and Football League clubs to get fans to support the local community through visiting their local non-league side. The event is also a platform for the club to promote the importance of affordable volunteer led community football.

As Kick It Out marks its 25 years of campaigning for equality in football seven teams, including Southport FC, will be dedicating fixtures to football’s equality and inclusion organisation – a record number, which is also the same number of years the organisation has supported this initiative.

Planning extra activity around the day to encourage engagement with a diverse range of communities, including local residents and young people. Further details are to be announced in the lead up to the game, which include activities on the pitch, tickets for local schools and much more!

"For us, there’s no limit to how far we want our message to reach. We want every club across the country, however small or big, to be an inclusive environment for everyone in their local area – so get in touch, support us on Non-League Day and let’s promote equality together."
