Merseyside Police can confirm a man has been arrested and charged following a theft in Southport on Wednesday, 13 December.
A report was received at around 2.30pm that a wallet containing a quantity of cash had been stolen from the pocket of a man on London Street.
45-year-old Warren Wright from Southport was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and charged with theft of a person.
He has since been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sefton Magistrates Court today, Friday 15 December.
