Makeover for Community Centre loos
Following their successful bid for an Awards for All grant from the Big Lottery Fund, Hesketh Bank Community Centre has been celebrating being able to fit vanity units with warm water in the ladies toilets.
Diane Earles, Treasurer, said, “The vanity units were donated last year by Kevin Pointon and these monies have now paid for the plumber and electrician to get them installed.” Diane, who is pictured washing her hands, added, “It is great to finally have warm water to wash our hands with and we can tick another job off our list.”
The lottery grant has already helped the Community Centre buy much needed tables and the next thing on their shopping list is cups, which are in short supply when they have a big function on.
Steve Kirby, Chairman, added, “Receiving this award is a mark of quality of the work we are doing in the community and we would like to thank the Big Lottery Fund and all the lottery players for this recognition and support.”
