Damien Moore MP visited Southport Tesco on Saturday 14 April to encourage local women to take part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.

The weekend of 14 and 15 April marked Tesco’s annual ‘Tesco Turns Pink’ event in support of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life. The two-day event saw the retailer’s employees dressing in pink and having fun to encourage customers to donate and sign up to their local Race for Life event.

Damien Moore MP joined the fundraising event and talked to constituents about the importance of the fight against cancer.

Damien Moore MP said:

Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is an inspiring women-only series of 5k, 10k, Pretty Muddy, Half Marathon and Hiking events which raise millions of pounds every year to help beat cancer sooner by funding crucial research. The local Race for Life event in Southport will take place on 3rd June.
