Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to announce the launch of the Lancashire Person Record Exchange Service (LPRES), a new initiative allowing health and care providers in Lancashire and South Cumbria to integrate their care systems and share information quickly and efficiently.
LPRES allows clinical documents to be shared with other health and social care providers electronically, allowing organisations to move away from the traditional method of sending printed hard copies in the post. The new information sharing system will provide health professionals with a function to share specific clinical documents and access the information they need whenever and wherever they are in order to seamlessly deliver care.

LPRES is set to benefit hundreds of thousands of healthcare staff and patients and will connect the Trust with more than 300 GP practices, four major hospital trusts, Lancashire County Council, two upper tier authorities and some private providers.

“LPRES provides healthcare providers with a function where they can centralise and share key information enabling necessary data to flow between organisations in an easy, efficient and safe way.
