Labour leader to visit Southport this evening.
He'll be addressing the beachfront crowd at 6pm so people are advised to arrive by 5.30pm to avoid any difficulties.
The rally will take place at Southport Beach car park on the front at the southern end of Marine Drive behind Pleasureland.
There are various car parks nearby but Southport Flower Show is also taking place on the day so if at all possible it's recommended to take public transport or make suitable arrangements.
Jeremy's visit is part of a tour of key marginal seats and reflects the remarkable rise of Labour within the town in the last two years or so.
In 2015, Labour's Parliamentary Candidate for Southport, Liz Savage, doubled the party's vote and then almost repeated the feat again this year when Labour came second for the first time since John Prescott stood here in 1966. In June we also went one better and achieved our highest ever vote in Southport.

I might just go down to watch how many people swoon in his presence, or shake his hand promising never to wash that hand again, or rush to get his autograph.......not!

Turd on the beach imperiling our blue flag dreams.
Let's hope for a downpour to give Trotty and the other leftards and scrofulous commies their annual wash.

Well - one need not have worried about the 'crowd' issue, that's for sure. Charlie Manson had a bigger following! There could not have been more than a handful of local people present at this farcical rally - the huge majority of the crowd were outsiders. There were the Labour backing, rent a mob group of Momentum - none from Southport, Frack Free Lancs group, Liverpool/Walton Labour Group, Liverpool in Europe Group some reps from London, the Wirral, Vauxhall, Manchester etc., As for promoting Labour as a party - it was a complete wash out!
Completely forgetting that Corby had publicly stated that Student Fees could not be abolished because of the cost - he stated that these would be abolished! That there would be free pre school meals for every primary school child in the UK, that there would be a good level of pay for everyone and everyone would be offered employment due to the free European market, the NHS would be publicly owned (it is mostly publicly owned now, apart from the private companies that Labour brought in), there would be an end to the Public Sector Pay freeze,(considering most of the Public Sector are in administration working in offices) that the rich would be taxed more ( whereby the rich people would merely set up overseas head offices and not pay any taxes into the UK) and the workers taxed less, and that Labour would continue to harass the Tories into changing their manifesto. Corbyn said that Labour would be supporting the Mc Donald's strike!
Labour were congratulating themselves that they have had three million more votes since the last World War - bully for them, considering that the population has increased by approximately 30 million since then, anyway!
After hearing the news, explorers from across the world are now heading into the UK to look for the hidden pots of gold that only Labour are convinced exist!
