Fundraisers at St. Joseph’s Hospice are encouraging businesses and the local community to support it by enjoying 'Fizz at Five' this Christmas.

Fizz at Five parties can take place anytime during December and can be enjoyed with work colleagues or friends and family. It can be as big or as small as you like. The most important thing is to raise as much money as possible for St. Joseph’s Hospice this Christmas.

Norma Young, major relationships fundraiser at the hospice, said: “Fizz at Five is your chance to support the hospice this Christmas and is a fantastic way to get together, have fun and celebrate the festive party season.

“It could be a small gathering in the office with a celebratory glass of bubbles on a Friday afternoon or a few drinks to get you started before you head off on your Christmas do. Or, why not host a bigger party at home with family and friends. However you decide to do it, just remember that it will make a really big difference to all our patients and their families this Christmas.

Nice idea, but should we really encourage people to have a drink before driving home from the office ?
