Residents in Ainsdale will be disturbed over the next few days as the former Hope School playing fields have been transformed into a heliport for the duration of the Open Golf.

Those with enough money will be flown in and transported to Royal Birkdale to watch or take part in the action.

The heliport will operate between the hours of 07:30 to 19:30 until Sunday.

President Donald Trump is not expected!!

Is there any other 'fact' that you can dig up to complain about 'The Open' championship. You are trying your best to put a downer on it.

I agree, plus stating that "those with enough money" makes you sound envious too. I reckon the residents will enjoy seeing the helicopters land and take off - I would.

I was thinking the same thing, pair of binoculars for a good old nose :)

Or a good Camera,complete withTelephoto lense,for a "DECENT "reporter to make newsworthy headlines
