The Health and Safety Executive’s investigating a serious accident on a remote Scarisbrick farm, QLocal was told this afternoon.
Gary Dean, believed to be in his mid 20's, was working at Wham Farm behind Martin Mere when he was involved in an accident involving a potato washer on Tuesday last at around 8.20 am.
All three emergency services attended the incident with Gary flown to the Royal Preston Hospital by the NWAA
He was discharged yesterday and contrary to an earlier QLocal report has in fact suffered injuries to his ankle and calf.
This afternoon, HSE spokesperson Emma Deeny, of its Corporate Communications Branch Engagement and Policy Division, said: “HSE is aware of this incident and making initial enquiries.”
