The UK, and coastal town’s average continued to drop – we are bucking the trend.

Good to see a positive up turn, lets hope it continues and the BID team get some recognition for their hard work. As there is very little positive said about them on this site.

Interesting that the spreadsheet model generated by STEAM to produce the above data, relies solely on information provided by the BID team!

Its not as if they are going to shoot themselves in the foot is it :-)

so what is the town centre for?????.....cars and shoppers not welcome and pushed out, to out of town shops.....we have vast areas doing absolutely nothing in our town centre, all the various gardens on lord st, deserted chapel st,tulketh st,in front of the town hall, all deserted, we could park thousand of cars and shoppers there, the car is not the enemy its the council, so what brilliant purpose is the town centre being cleared for??????? clueless town centre managers...just put our town back to how it was in the seventies

I do hope that when I am shopping in the Town Centre, having a good meal in any number of restaurants and a good few scops of juice in many a bar......I don't come across the morbid, depressing sods that comment on here.

If you want to slit your wrists on the so called ever decreasing Town Centre then please moan about it elsewhere.

And before anybody else comments I do not view everything through "rose tinted" specs, just like to see a glass half full not empty.
