A total of 25 people were arrested yesterday on day 16 of Operation Hunted, taking the total to 576.



Notable arrests today include a 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault, in relation to an incident in 2015.

‘Operation Hunted’, is now in its third week and the force is continuing to put the pressure on named offenders on Merseyside wanted for various offences, including those who may have been involved in serious crimes, are linked evidentially to live investigations, or have breached the terms of their release from prison.

The operation is force-wide and includes local police officers and PCSOs, detectives, Roads Policing units, specialist search teams, the Cannabis Dismantling Team, and Matrix officers.
