One of the oldest attractions in Southport the Pitch and Putt on Princes Park has been left to fall into a terrible state by Sefton Council.

As nobody has taken up the chance run the course it has been abandoned by the Council.

Surely the grass could be cut and the area tided up and then employ someone to run it and generate some income for the Council.

    Sadly nobody seems bothered.

I'm sure that someone will come on and comment that Sefton don't have the money to cut the grass or them being unable to pay someone to run the Golf. Then they'll blame central government for the near £250,000,000 in cuts.....

All in all, perhaps Sefton don't want anyone to run it, imagine, all that land that could allow Ocean Plaza to be extended. Now there's a thought....

It was put out to tender. Maybe the successful bidder has other plans for the site.

They should ask the guy who owns the Fun Fair to run it until Sefton find a full time tennant. He seems able to make a success of leisure facilities.

The council should run it themselves until a tenner can be found.total disgrace this town.had a brill beach and let it go to ruin and instead concentrated on Crosby.used to work for the tourism department when it was run properly instead of letting the town go to ruin.
