Conservation commences on Lord Street. Many appreciations to the exceptional Property Owners and Management Team for having begun extensive restoration works on their Victorian Verandahs & Fascia Frontages here at "Albany Buildings", specifically the former "Mister Smith's", No.339-341 Lord Street here in the Southport Town Centre. Once again it is a true delight to see another new investor improving our local environment for both local residents and visitors to behold.

Having originally raised this matter with the relevant stakeholders back in Summer 2015 during my original Town Audit I am delighted to have the full and ongoing support of another long- established and locally acclaimed Business and set of property owners who also appreciate the need to maintain and preserve our wondrous civic heritage for the benefit of the local community.

Recently observing the initial Scaffolding Process commence and speaking with the dedicated Team at "JAS Scaffolding" who continue to provide a sterling service across our Coastal Resort town. Scheduled works shall include an extensive restoration and refurbishment of both the interior and exterior of the Property, including a complete return of the Victorian Verandahs back to their true Black on White style design reminiscent of our locally acclaimed high street.

Having also contacted the neighbouring units which include the former "Taking Shape" and "Entwhistle Green" it is my hope to also secure their support in achieving a matching set of completed units that further showcase the majesty of our local hometown to both incumbent and prospective investors alike seeking to revitalize our Retail Sector for the long- term.

A special thank you must go to the property owners, "Curzon Property Ltd" the Team at "JAS Scaffolding" and their dedicated Contractors, for having joined aboard my Community Conservation Campaign, which in turn, continues to provide much welcome positive support and encouragement for other key stakeholders.

Once again it is a true pleasure to see this positive and constructive working now manifesting across the length and breadth of our beloved local high street. This I believe will ultimately lead to further investor confidence in our local seaside Classic Resort town. Onwards & Upwards!

"Yes these hands have carried many a bowl of warm water for our residents to have a wash, and at tea time I used to serve their beans on toast too. Onwards & upwards with appreciations is my motto".

I moved to Australia in late 2014 but am still an avid on line viewer of this site, to see how everything is going in Southport.
I do not usually comment, but it is tiring seeing all these posts on issues a Councillor has had no involvement in whatsoever.
Being a Councillor is about supporting the residents on key issues within your ward!!!

Granted the Southport seafront and Lord Street are important, but believe it or not there are still Council Officers in Sefton who have the resorts interests at heart and continue to do so, just not allowed to be seen above Councillors sprouting off!

    Get to some real issues!!
For god sake change the suit!

I do not hide behind a false name.
    Jason
