Sometime during the night callous thieves entered the Southport Lifeboat rest tent at the Flower Show and helped themselves to cuddly toys and other hand knitted items that were to be sold to raise money.
The rest tent selling tea, coffee and soft drinks is the Lifeboats biggest fundraising event of the year.
Anne from the Lifeboat fundraising said...
"we put all the stock out on Wednesday evening and covered it up. When we arrived this morning some of it was missing including hand knitted toys and home made Jewellery.
I have had to go home and get some more to sell. Thats at least £50 we could have raised.
