The hot weather has meant a busy few days for the crew of the Southport Lifeboat with many callouts.

CALL OUT - 27/6/18 - 21:51 - Southport ILB and Quad team tasked to two people and two dogs cut off by the tide North of Southport Pier.

The ILB launched and headed up the Penfold Channel whilst the Quads entered the beach at the old sandworks and along Rainfords Track.

The casualties were located by the ILB crew shortly before the quads arrived. As the tide was flooding quickly, they were transferred onto the boat and brought back ashore.

The boat and quads were washed off and ready for service by midnight.

Well done to all involved and to Southport Coastguard for their assistance.

CALL OUTS
29/06/2018 - 22:08 - Southport ILB paged to reports of two kayakers possibly in difficulty at Ainsdale. Stood down on route to station as they were reported to be ok by the first informant.

30/06/2018 - 12:28 - Southport ILB and Quad team tasked to reports of a lilo drifting offshore at Ainsdale. Stood down as the casualties made their way back to shore safely on their own.

30/06/2018 - 18:29 - Southport ILB and Quad team paged to search between Southport and Ainsdale for a male who had been missing since 5:30am. After searching the tideline, the Quads located the male safe and well on Ainsdale beach.

CALL OUT - 1/7/18 - 18:18 - Southport ILB and Quad team paged to search for three missing children last seen in the sea at Formby.

The ILB and Quads carried out a tideline search from Ainsdale before the Quads met the mother of the casualties who had received information that they were out of the water. The Quad team helped reunite the family before returning to station.
