As part of Superhero day at Southport Pleasureland the Batmobile flew in from Gotham City. Children dressed up as their favourite comic book hero for the day.
The fun continues tomorrow with Comic Con.
For those that are new to the concept, comic-con is short for comic convention, a gathering of aficionados and followers of the many types of comic genres that are still published and loved by hundreds of thousands of readers. The concept actually started back in the 60’s in the US and is still going strong across the globe.
Those taking part in comic-cons are likely to throw themselves 100% into a theme of their choice, be it superhero, science fiction, horror or pop culture icons. They will spend hours and plenty of money on perfecting their costume and many will enter competitions and events where prizes and general acclaim can be won.
