The Burscough Heritage Group will also have a display showing local artefacts.
On Sunday, the annual Charity Raft Race will start at 2pm running from The Slipway to The Wharf; speaking about the race, Burscough Wharf site manager, Ray Eckersley said: “The raft race has now become quite a tradition in Burscough. This year we have the biggest number of raft entries, we’re expecting a host of impressive creations which should make for a great spectacle.”
In the Arts Centre, photographic exhibition, Images of Burscough, by Mike Dawson will feature old photographs of Burscough and surrounding areas.
Ray added: “This year we’re also welcoming History Group displays, vintage transport models, as well as traditional lacemaking and sewing displays.”
