Last year Cambridge ward Councillors Sue McGuire and Pat Keith tackled the Council about the state of the Argyle Road roundabout by using Ward funds to improve it.
Judging by the state of the roundabout now it was not money well spent.
What a difference a year makes!

Personally, I prefer the roundabout to look the way it does in the first two photos. Why plant it with non-native plant species which are of no benefit at all to wildlife (ie: pollinating insects and birds)?

So they basically tackled themselves and used funds that they have control over to sort it out. So just do the same again instead of stockpiling area committee funds.

As expected from our band of merry councillors, did the job for publicity and failed to maintain the tempo! Now back to square one.
