After contractors patched up several pot holes on Lord Street earlier in the week near to the Eastbank Street junction they will need to return.
Another hole has started to appear opposite Hulme Street. The surface has only been down since September and is clearly not fit for purpose.

I suppose you could say that about ALL Councils who have had their income cut to the bone. Although Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Sussex may not have struggled as much as the plebian Counties. Oh forgot UDP parts of Northern Ireland.

All this went Tits Up when the Romans buggered off.
We can't build roads forget cost etc etc, years ago it was the same and I've been driving 40 years. Travel on the continent and you barely have to keep your hand on the wheel.... here you hang on for grim death.
Doesn't take away that Civil engineers, construction companies in this country nowadays are "Shite"

It's all about who can do it cheaper than anyone else. A race to the bottom.

The Council stated last year that the reason the pot holes appeared. Was the tarmac was put down in September! It is now February, told it is going to be -8 degrees in some places.
